Olena Topolya explained whether she will change her surname after the divorce from Taras Topolya.

According to ТСН: Ukrainian singer Olena Topolya reported that she currently does not plan to change her surname after the divorce from Taras Topolya, the leader of the band 'Antytila'.

Stage Name and Personal Life

Previously, the artist performed under the stage name Alyosha, but in 2023 she decided to return to her real name and surname. When asked whether she will remain Topolya after the divorce, Olena stated in an interview that she is not ready for changes yet.

“For now, yes (I will remain Topolya - ed. note). I just had such a long history of reformatting after Alyosha, the perception of me by people, for them to know that I am Olena Topolya. And now this question again... For now, yes, I am Olena Topolya,” - explained the artist.

The Difficulty of Change

Olena emphasized that changing her pseudonym is not easy, as, although she no longer considers herself Alyosha, that name still holds great significance for her fans.

“I managed to reformat, but still, people remember Alyosha more. In their memory, more vivid memories happened then and to those songs which were very popular. Back then I was Alyosha. For them, it has remained for a lifetime,” - added the artist.

Olena Topolya also spoke about her new relationships after the divorce and did not rule out the possibility of reconciling with her ex-husband.

Returning to her real name is not only a personal step for Olena but also an important moment in her career. As she noted, changes in her life are accompanied by emotional memories that are closely related to her activity under the pseudonym Alyosha. It seems that the artist is contemplating the future while preserving a part of her past identity.
