The Olympic judo tournament in the 65 kg weight category ended in scandal.
In the Round of 16, Tajik judoka Nurali Emomali defeated Israeli Baruch Shmailov. After the bout, he refused to shake his opponent's hand and shouted
Allahu Akbar.
It is worth noting that in the Round of 32, Shmailov was also refused a handshake by Moroccan Abdderrahman Boushit.
In the quarterfinals, Emomali faced Japanese Hifumi Abe. The bout ended prematurely due to the Tajik's injury, and he left the tatami in tears.
Recall that during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris, announcers introduced the South Korean team as the team of DPRK.
