The United Nations noted that Ukraine, thanks to the experience and potential of non-governmental organizations gained as a result of Russian aggression, is becoming a leading exporter of humanitarian aid. This was stated by UN Deputy Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Tom Fletcher in an interview with Ukrinform.
Fletcher emphasized that, despite receiving aid itself, Ukraine is already a significant donor.
'We will see that Ukraine will play an even greater role not only as an importer of aid but also as an exporter. During the humanitarian crisis, Ukrainian non-governmental organizations gained such experience and potential that in the future they will be at the humanitarian forefront worldwide. In my opinion, Ukraine will become a humanitarian superpower,' Fletcher emphasized.
