Tom Grennan celebrates success in Birmingham

According to The Sun: Backstage at Birmingham's Utilita Arena, Tom Grennan is overflowing with emotions as he experiences a period of incredible success.

This week marks the beginning of his biggest arena tour, and he recently became a father to a girl named Dottie.

“The word is overwhelming,” Tom tells me.

“Being a new dad and learning not to feel guilty about leaving home when I still have to do what I love. It’s mixed emotions. But I feel like I won the lottery.”

Stepping onto the stage in front of a packed audience, Tom can rightly be called a lucky man.

He energetically performs his hits, such as Found What I’ve Been Looking For, All These Nights, and How Does It Feel, as well as new songs Higher, Cool With That, and Boys Don’t Cry.

“Living my dream”

Even an unpleasant fall while performing the hit Lionheart did not ruin his mood. He joked in front of the audience:

“That really hurts. I think I broke a rib.”

Throughout the performance, Tom tries to catch the gaze of every fan — a task complicated by the fact that more than 15,000 people gathered in the hall. He is certainly elated as he talks about his path to success.

To the captivated audience, he recounts:

“Eight years ago, I did my first show in Birmingham. It was a great venue. But the moral of the story is that back then there were 130 people. Now we're playing a sold-out arena in Birmingham. I love each of you with all my heart.”

Tom's fans have supported him since the release of his debut album Lighting Matches in 2018. He actively seeks to maintain a connection, even inviting them for a run in Coventry before his concert last month.

Tom smiles when I mention this and says:

“That was such a wonderful moment — seeing so many people come together. Now everyone participates. It wasn't a competition, just fun.”

Frankly, I can't imagine how Tom finds time for training. After finishing this tour in Manchester on September 19, he will head to Asia and Australia, before returning for a big series of shows in Europe.

But with a sparkle in his eyes, it becomes clear that Tom has no plans of slowing down.

“This feeling never loses its relevance,” he says. “The happiness I feel right now is incredible. It doesn’t happen to many people.”

“So being in this position, stepping on stage, and performing feels like I’m living my dream. This feeling never gets old.”

Photographer Kevin Cummings, a close friend of Oasis, has fueled speculation that Liam and Noel Gallagher may continue their concert tour next year.

He confirmed that the brothers wanted to hold a show at Etihad stadium, but canceled performances at Manchester's beloved stadium due to planning issues.

Kevin noted: “I don’t see why they can’t continue once the tour ends in November.”

“They may decide they want to play at Etihad, which they couldn’t get to during this tour due to its renovations.”

“I’m joking — 15 million people applied for tickets just in the UK. That’s unprecedented.”

Kevin also supported the creation of new music from the brothers, who will soon release a live album from their tour.

“I don’t see why they can’t return to the studio to record a new album.”

Kevin emphasized that it could work if no one finds out about it and they just try.

The first person she plans to show the new tracks to will be BGT judge Amanda Holden.

“All it takes is to send her a message, and she’ll reply. I have a demo that I need to send her.”
