Details about the Monument

It should be noted that in Korostyshiv, on one of the alleys of the city park, a sculptural pedestal was opened to Ukrainian musician, frontman of the band 'Skryabin', Andriy Kuzmenko. This event was timed to coincide with the celebration of City Day. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referencing 'Suspilne'.

The height of the composition exceeds one meter, and it is made of local granite. The pedestal reads: 'Do not be ashamed, this is your land'.

'I have been nurturing this idea for a long time. Because Kuzma is one of my favorite Ukrainian performers. I have been fascinated by his creativity since the 90s. To me, he is not just a singer, he is a bearer of profound philosophical reflections on life, on Ukraine, on our place in the universe. Maybe for someone he is funny, but for me, he is a serious and consistent fighter for our social and humanitarian ideals. He is like the Kobzar of modernity, a kind of enlightener,' said Oleksiy Markovsky.

The sculptor also mentioned that when creating the image of Kuzma Skryabin, he envisioned him as a Kobzar.

The monument to Andriy Kuzmenko in Korostyshiv has become a topic of discussion, sparking a wave of criticism on social media due to its appearance. However, the idea of establishing the sculpture in honor of the famous Ukrainian musician has been recognized as an attempt to honor and celebrate his contribution to the development of the country's culture.
