The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, may meet with Vladimir Putin, but the legal side of any agreements is a matter of doubt for Russia. This was reported by the official representative of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov. Zelensky has two years left until the end of his term, but there have been no current presidential elections in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Russia has announced its new position regarding Ukraine's European integration, calling for respect for the country's sovereign right in this matter. However, Russia will continue to participate in discussions on European security issues, particularly regarding defense and military alliances.
