The USA will provide Ukraine with 20 billion dollars of frozen Russian assets
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced that the United States of America has decided to allocate 20 billion dollars to Ukraine from frozen Russian assets. He stated this in his daily address.
"America has decided to provide 20 billion dollars. These are funds secured by frozen Russian assets. Part of the G7 decision for 50 billion dollars for Ukraine – for our protection, for our resilience," noted the President.
Zelensky also held meetings regarding the front-line situation. He emphasized that special attention was given to the challenging directions in Donetsk region and supply issues from partners.
"I want to note our warriors today: the 38th separate marine brigade – this is the Pokrovske direction – and the 79th air assault brigade – this is the Kurakhove direction," emphasized the President.
In addition, there was a meeting with civil society representatives where the Victory Plan and the issue of NATO accession were discussed. The meeting was attended by the human rights defender and warrior Maksym Butkevych, who was released from Russian captivity.
