Occasional rains and heat in some areas - weather forecast for today.

Today, variable cloudiness is expected in Ukraine. Forecasters predict rain and thunderstorms in some regions, as well as an increase in temperature to +36 °C.

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reports this.

In the northeastern part of the country, in Transcarpathia and the Carpathians, brief rains with thunderstorms are expected. In other areas, no precipitation is forecasted.

The wind will blow mainly from the northwest direction at a speed of 7-12 m/s.

Today the air temperature will rise from +27 to +32 °C in the south and east, while in Luhansk region, extreme heat up to +36 °C is expected. In other areas it will be cooler during the day, from +21 to +26 °C.

Dangerous hydrological phenomena

On the rivers of the Pripyat sub-basin, a further increase in water levels by 0.1-0.5 m is expected compared to the levels at 8 a.m. on July 30.

Heavy rains may cause flooding in some river sections. Forecasters have declared the first (yellow) level of danger.

We remind you that on July 30, a heavy downpour occurred in Kyiv, which seriously complicated traffic conditions in the city.

Earlier, forecasters released the weather forecast for Ukraine for the next week until August 3. In some regions, a decrease in air temperature to comfortable values is expected.
