Paul Scholes leaves television: ex-Man Utd star explains reason.
According to inkorr.com: Famous footballer Paul Scholes is leaving his job on television to spend more time with his son, who has autism. The 50-year-old former Manchester United player has handed over his television shows in favor of podcasts to better support his 20-year-old son Aiden, who suffers from non-verbal autism.
Aiden, Paul’s 20-year-old son, has non-verbal autism, and Scholes looks after him three evenings a week. 'All the work I’m doing now is related to his daily routine. He has quite a strict schedule, so I just decided that everything I do will be related to Aiden. We always do the same thing with him because he doesn’t know what day of the week it is or what time it is. But because of what we do, he understands what day it is. When I say he can’t talk, I think he understands a lot more than we think. He makes sounds, but only people close to him understand what he’s saying.'
Paul Scholes is famous for his career with Manchester United and the England national team, and now his main priority is to be a support for his son with autism.
