Fashion designer Roberto Cavalli has passed away: he had six children.
Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli died at the age of 83 after a long illness, the Italian publication Corriere della Sera reported on Friday, April 12.
The deceased designer was survived by six children, the youngest son, Giorgio, being born in 2023, when Cavalli was 82.
Roberto Cavalli was born in 1940 in Florence, Italy.
He studied at the Florentine Academy of Arts, which gave him the necessary knowledge in the fields of design and art. However, he never obtained a diploma.
During his studies, he worked on projects that attracted the attention of leading knitwear factories in Italy.
In the early 1970s, he invented a new technique for printing designs on leather and introduced his work in patchwork technique.
In 1972, he presented his first fashion collection at Palazzo Pitti in Florence, and that same year he opened his first boutique in Saint-Tropez, France.
The world has lost a talented Italian designer who became famous for his extraordinary creativity and innovations in the fashion world. His legacy will live on in the collections and works he created over the years.
