Chris Hughton prepares to return to coaching
Chris Hughton, who previously worked with Newcastle and Brighton, may soon head a football team again. According to recent reports, the Zimbabwe national team plans to appoint him as head coach.According to The Sun: Hughton, who also played for Tottenham and represented the Ireland national team, has experience managing the Ghana national team but was dismissed in January 2024. He is currently on the list of over 300 candidates for the management of the Zimbabwe national team, which recently parted ways with a German coach.
“I am looking forward to the opportunity to return to coaching. This is a new challenge, and I am ready to take it on,” said Hughton.
At this moment, many candidates are in the running for the role of head coach; however, Hughton is considered one of the favorites.
