Major festivals in England's castles canceled: organizer announces bankruptcy.
Cancellation of major concerts in the UK
According to The Sun: A number of major concerts in the UK have been canceled after their organizers went into liquidation.
One of the events was set to feature a television icon before the event was fully canceled.
UKAC Productions organized a series of exciting events that were to take place in castles across England in September.
The festivals were to host live performances as well as exciting entertainment at the UK Proms in the Park, which were held at Pendennis Castle in Cornwall and at Bolsover Castle in Derbyshire.
Both festivals were to be conducted under the guidance of television judge Robert Rinder, who was to delight fans with one of his DJ sets.
A performance by a mysterious 'powerful vocalist' was also scheduled.
However, UKAC Productions suddenly found themselves in liquidation, forcing the brand to cancel all upcoming events, including the event in Cornwall on September 19th and the event in Derbyshire on September 20th.
A spokesman for English Heritage, which runs Bolsover Castle, said: 'We wish to inform that the upcoming Proms event at Bolsover Castle on September 19th and 20th has been canceled as the organization UK Proms has gone into liquidation.'
'We apologize for the disappointment caused by this news.'
'As this event was not organized by English Heritage, we advise you to contact the ticket provider through which you booked for any residual refunds.'
Canceled events by UKAC
In total, five concerts by UKAC Productions have been canceled, including:
- September 5th: Dance Anthem Orchestra - Pendennis Castle, Cornwall
- September 6th: UK Proms In The Park - Pendennis Castle, Cornwall
- September 19th: Dance Anthem Orchestra - Bolsover Castle, Chesterfield, Derbyshire
- September 20th: UK Proms In The Park - Bolsover Castle, Chesterfield, Derbyshire
The news of the cancellations came just days after a major noughties band was forced to cancel one of their tours.
The American indie band Iglu and Hartly canceled their tour 'In This City,' which was set to start in Southend on August 14th.
The group is known for their hit 'Then Boom,' which reached number five on the UK charts.
The band's leader, Jarvis Anderson, took to Instagram to announce the tour cancellation.
'I am devastated to make this statement, but we have to cancel our tour across the UK - for sensitive personal reasons received late yesterday, which are completely beyond our control.'
'We are absolutely heartbroken that we cannot perform these incredible shows for all of you right now, but rest assured, as soon as things settle down, we will be looking to revisit the UK in the near future.'
The comment section was filled with comments from fans wishing the band all the best.
One commented: 'Truly devastating, but we, the fans, will be waiting for the reschedule. Hoping for the best, sending love.'
During the liquidation of the organizers, a number of major concerts in the UK have been canceled, leading to disappointment among fans and performers. Additionally, another well-known musical group, the American Iglu and Hartly, was forced to cancel their tour in the UK due to personal reasons, which also caused sadness among fans.Read also
