The Prime Minister of Moldova explained why Russia created a crisis in Transnistria.

The President of Moldova, Dorin Recean, stated that Russia is trying to create a crisis in Transnistria to achieve its military goals. He also expressed gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people for protecting not only Moldova but all of Europe. Recean emphasized that the situation in Transnistria is artificial, and the de facto authorities in the region's refusal of the assistance offered by Chisinau confirms this.
'Chisinau offered assistance, but this proposal was rejected because Russia needs an artificially created humanitarian crisis,' Recean said.
The President of Moldova also stated that Russia, which controls Transnistria, hinders any attempts to provide assistance to the region.
Recean noted that Russia's main goal is to create instability in the region and influence the Moldovan elections, which will take place in the fall. He confirmed that the energy crisis is part of the Russian plan.
It was previously reported that the gas crisis could facilitate the reintegration of Transnistria with Moldova.
