The President and the First Lady visited wounded soldiers.


President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska visited a hospital in Kyiv, where they spoke with wounded soldiers and medical staff. The hospital provides assistance to soldiers who have fought in various directions. The President awarded the soldiers with orders and medals for their contribution to the defense of Ukraine.
Volodymyr and Olena Zelensky also met with representatives of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and military psychologists. The meeting was marked by positive changes in mental health in the military sector, including the development of psychological support for soldiers.
Olena Zelenska emphasized the need for comprehensive assistance to soldiers, their family members, and medical personnel. Additionally, the President and the First Lady learned about a project for creating barrier-free routes in various cities of Ukraine, which is being implemented by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development. This project aims to facilitate the mobility of people with disabilities.
Gradually, barrier-free routes will be introduced in 12 cities and towns of Ukraine. Meeting participants emphasized the need for cooperation between the state, communities, and businesses to implement this project.
Earlier, the President also awarded the Italian Minister of Defense with a state award of Ukraine and conferred the title of Hero of Ukraine to a soldier who died in battle against the occupiers.
