According to The Sun: Katie Price's children, Princess and Junior, shared their thoughts regarding her unexpected track, which topped the iTunes chart.

Yesterday, Katie, 47, achieved her dream: her song 'I Got U' became number one on iTunes, surpassing artists like Ed Sheeran and Olivia Dean.

Her children from pop star Peter Andre expressed their excitement about the news on Instagram.

Princess, 18, shared a chart image and wrote:

“Well done mum [applause and hearts]”
, while Junior, 20, also showed support, using laughing emojis, hinting at his surprise.

The support from the eldest daughter comes after a recent tense period when Katie accused those behind Princess's documentary on ITV of preventing her from appearing in filming.

Family atmosphere and legal troubles

However, in recent weeks, their relationship seems to have improved: they were spotted together at the movies with Katie's boyfriend, J. J. Slater.

At the same time, Katie is engaged in legal battles with all three of her ex-husbands.

Kieran Hayler, 38, and Alex Reid, 50, reportedly consulted lawyers to prevent the release of her documentary film on Sky, scheduled for next year.

And her first husband Peter, 51, accused her of 'baseless accusations' against him and claimed that their shared children Princess and Junior have been under his care since 2018 'for their safety'.

Surprise for fans

Katie's success on the charts is even more impressive as 'I Got U' was originally released in 2017, and 'Hurricane', which is currently at number six, was released in 2019.

Katie's representative noted:

“This is a huge surprise for Katie, she has always loved to sing, and this is a dream come true!”

She then reached out to her fans via Instagram Stories, thanking them for their support, and joked:

“Well, I actually don't know what to say!”

In November of last year, Katie performed at a drag queen contest, singing 'I Got U'. Earlier this year, she delighted fans by appearing on an awards stage, showcasing her vocal talents, although she did not receive any awards herself.

In June 2017, 'I Got U' marked her second attempt in her music career and reached fifth place on the charts.

Katie also announced plans for a new album and tour next year, saying on TikTok:

“I am releasing my album, traveling around the country with regular performances, and next year I am organizing a tour.”

“It will be called 'Katie Price's Greatest Hits', where I will perform many classic covers and my own materials,

“So stay tuned for updates.”
