Extension of pub opening hours during the World Cup

According to The Sun: Pubs in the UK will be able to serve beer until 1 a.m. if the England team reaches the quarter-finals, semi-finals, or finals of next summer's World Cup. As the matches are likely to take place in cooler evenings in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood proposes to extend pub opening hours.

“This is an extraordinary opportunity for all football fans to enjoy every moment of the game,” she remarked.

It is expected that this extension will allow pubs to distribute around 55 million pints of beer among fans.

This decision will be a great opportunity for fans to support their team in a festive atmosphere. Especially during important matches, when there is a chance to enjoy the game in the company of like-minded individuals, which will undoubtedly create a special atmosphere.
