Russia repelled the Machine-Building Plant in Vovchansk, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced near Pokrovsk – ISW report.

Ukrainian forces conducted a counterattack east of Pokrovsk, and Russian forces advanced southeast of Pokrovsk and retook the Machine-Building Plant in Vovchansk. This was reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

UAF Operation in Russia

Ukrainian and Russian troops continued attacks in the Glushkovsky district west of the main Ukrainian salient in the Kursk region on October 7-9, but without success.

Ukrainian forces attacked east of Korenevo, southeast of Korenevo, and northeast of Sudzha. However, ISW could not confirm these statements.

East of Ukraine. Operation №1 - Kharkiv region

Russian troops captured the Vovchansk Machine-Building Plant in Vovchansk. They also continue ground attacks northeast of Kharkiv.

Operation №2 - Luhansk region

Russian troops advanced northwest of Kreminna. They continue offensive actions in various directions from Kupyansk, Svatove, and Kreminna.

Operation №3 - Donetsk region

Russian troops captured part of Siversk. They are also attacking north of Verkhnokamyansk and near Chasiv Yar. However, ISW could not confirm these statements.

Russian troops have also made minor advances south of Stepnohirsk in the west of the Zaporizhzhia region.

All these events have intensified pressure on President Joe Biden's administration.
