The report from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) confirms that the Russian leadership seeks to capture the Dnipropetrovsk region and other territories of Ukraine. This is corroborated by statements from the Russian foreign intelligence director, Sergey Naryshkin, about the possibility of negotiations with Ukraine, but a categorical rejection of the idea of freezing the conflict or creating a demilitarized zone.

The Kremlin also demands the transfer of four partially occupied Ukrainian regions, which indicates Russia's attempts to continue insisting on the complete capitulation of Ukraine.

Analysts note that the Russian military command is considering the possibility of an offensive on the southeastern part of the Dnipropetrovsk region, which could be part of Russia's strategy for the complete capture of the Donetsk region. At the same Time, Ukrainian defenders are progressing in regaining their positions, while Russian forces continue to advance deeper into the trenches.

The Russian Federation is trying to portray the fighting at the borders of the Zaporizhia and Donetsk regions as a full-scale offensive on Zaporizhia, although this does not reflect the reality.
