Romania declared an alarm due to Russian drones.
A group of Russian drones has been declared heading to Ukrainian targets near the border with Romania
The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) in Romania notified the residents of Tulcea to stay vigilant. This happened due to the detection of a group of Russian drones heading towards Ukrainian targets at the border with Romania. This was reported by Digi24.
IGSU Tulcea received two calls at 112: one requesting information and the other reporting sounds of explosions on Ukrainian territory.
Local residents were sent a message through the RO-Alert system with recommendations to remain calm and follow self-protection instructions in case of falling objects from the airspace.
IGSU Romania reminded that the attacked territories are on the Ukrainian side of the border and there is no threat to Romanian territory. Residents of the northern part of the county and tourists were advised not to panic and to call 112 in case of danger.
Debris of "Shahed" drone again found at the border with Romania
On September 24, in Romania, opposite Izmail, the debris of the "Shahed" attack drone was again found. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Romania. Romanian military were inspecting the area to find possible fragments of drones that might have fallen during Russian air attacks on Ukrainian ports on the Danube.
Earlier, Ukraine asked Romania to shoot down Russian drones that attack its territory during Russian attacks.
In response to the prolonged aggression of Russia against Ukraine, Romania intends to accelerate the procurement of ammunition. This decision was made by the Supreme Council of National Defense (CSAT) under the leadership of Klaus Iohannis, the president of Romania.
