According to The Sun: Are there signs from the very first date? The Sun newspaper looks at the red flags that could mean your new favorite is ready to break your heart.
According to the expert, there are numerous signs that your date might be lying to you
According to a survey by the dating site Seeking, up to 74 percent of singles have either rejected or chosen a 'long break' in their search for love.
And an incredible 51 percent admitted they were misled about their date's age, while a third showed up to find the person was shorter or taller than they were told.
Relationship therapist Rian Kivits told The Sun: 'Unfortunately, many people lie, especially on dating profiles or during conversations before dates. Often they do this due to insecurity.
They want to get a date, but lack confidence, so they post fake photos or lie about their age or height.
'This doesn’t necessarily mean they are abusive or dangerous, but if you notice this, it’s worth asking: 'Is this right for me?'
'Most of us probably wouldn't want to date someone who presents themselves as someone they are not.'
Nearly seven out of ten singles admitted they are struggling in relationships due to existing liars, which becomes a reason for their refusal to date. The survey also revealed that many people lie on their profiles, so it's important to keep an eye out for potential red flags.Read also
