The actor once again embodied the role of detective Benoit Blanc in the third film of the 'Knives Out' franchise. The new film titled 'Wake Up, Dead Man: The Mystery of Knives Out' will also feature Cailee Spaeny, Jeremy Renner, and Daryl McCormack.

Although Daniel wasn't in his signature Bond tuxedo, he looked stylish in a blue t-shirt, black jacket, and knee-rolled jeans.

The actor showcased his gray-curled hair at this year’s festival, which is one of the most prestigious and attended film festivals in the world.

Mila Kunis, 42, even tried to fix his hairstyle during the interview, raising her hand close to his head.

This American detective film, written and directed by Rian Johnson, is a standalone sequel to 'Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.' In January, Netflix released the first official image showing Daniel's new look as a southern detective.

The image shows Benoit standing in a dimly lit church, engaging in conversation with a new character played by Josh O'Connor. Netflix is keeping the film's plot under wraps, only hinting that Blanc will once again find himself among new suspects, unraveling “the most dangerous case of his life.”

The New James Bond

After the success of 'Knives Out' in 2019 and 'Glass Onion' in 2022, Rian Johnson continues to develop his modern detective series. The director noted how happy he was to work with talented stars: “We have been very lucky with each of these films, bringing together some of my favorite actors on the planet.”

While Daniel continues to gain recognition as a detective, the British actor is becoming an increasingly likely candidate for the role of the new James Bond. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, 35, is one of the front-runners for this iconic role.

Aaron has a good chance to take Bond's place, as market odds are 11/8. Recently, the actor hinted that he might be contacted regarding this iconic role.

The Marvel star signed a deal with Omega – the watch brand worn by spy 007. Omega has been supplying watches to this legendary character since the release of the 1995 film 'GoldenEye.'

Aaron also made it onto the global ambassadors list for the company, with an advertising image featuring the actor from 'The Butcher' and 'The Avengers' looking into a drawer filled with stylish watches.

The 'Sun' magazine exclusively reported that Aaron was formally offered the role of the British spy last year. This happened after he first appeared as a surprising contender three years ago.

In 2022, the 'Sun' revealed that Aaron was among the candidates for this position, secretly auditioning for Bond producer Barbara Broccoli at Pinewood Studios.

“Bond is Aaron's job if he wants to take it.”

It was recently announced that passionate James Bond fan Denis Villeneuve has been appointed as the director of the new film.

Getty Daniel Craig's visit to the festival attracted attention not only due to his changed image but also his active discussion of the prospects for new films in the franchise.
