How many mines and munitions the police seized from Ukrainians in a year: shocking numbers.
The police seized over 11 thousand mines and munitions from citizens
In 11 months of this year, police have seized more than 11 thousand large-caliber mines and munitions from citizens. This was reported by the head of the Department of Criminal Investigation of the National Police of Ukraine, Vadim Dziubinskiy, as reported by Ukrinform.
Regarding the amount of weaponry that the NPU seized over the past 11 months, it concerns more than 1 million 600 thousand ammunition rounds, nearly 15 thousand grenades, 11 thousand mines and large-caliber munitions, and over 3 thousand kg of explosives
This weaponry is seized both at checkpoints and during operational measures, operational purchases, and investigative actions.
In total, the police have initiated 5301 proceedings. In 4088 cases, suspects have been announced, and more than 3.5 thousand of such cases have already gone to court.
Currently, 139 storage places for large quantities of weapons have been identified over the past 11 months.
We remind you that the Cabinet of Ministers has allowed civilians to use firearms during the period of martial law to counter armed aggression. However, the weapons must be officially declared.
By the end of January next year, the permit for weapons will be reflected in Diia.
