According to Novyny.live: Ukraine is set to experience a blisteringly hot day on June 29, 2026, with temperatures soaring across most regions. Daytime highs are expected to range between +29°C and +34°C, while areas on the right bank of the Dnipro River could see mercury levels climb to +35°C or even +38°C. Overnight lows will vary from +18°C to +23°C, with Kyiv specifically seeing nighttime temperatures between +21°C and +23°C.
In eastern Ukraine, the night will be cooler at +14°C to +19°C, but daytime readings will still reach a warm +25°C to +30°C. Winds across the country will be light, blowing at 3–8 m/s, offering little relief from the oppressive heat.
Isolated thunderstorms with rain are forecast for the Transcarpathian, Volyn, and Sumy regions, though widespread precipitation remains unlikely. Meteorologist Natalka Didenko noted,
“Today will be a hot day.”She also added,
“The capital will also be hot, with daytime highs up to +33°C.”

Looking at the broader picture, Didenko reported that temperature swings across Ukraine could peak at +40°C between June 28 and 30. As a result, residents in most regions should brace for intense heat and sunny skies.

Additionally, the rising temperatures could impact agriculture, particularly in areas prone to drought. In response, local authorities and emergency services are likely to implement measures to mitigate the adverse effects of the extreme weather.
