Stephen King decided to side with Ukraine and made a statement about ending cooperation with Russia
After the invasion of Russian troops into the territory of Ukraine, the famous American writer, producer, and public figure Stephen King decided to support the Ukrainian people.
According to the writer's agent, Stephen King has officially ended cooperation on all new contracts in Russia, which is waging a bloody war in Ukraine.
Publisher “AST”, which publishes books in Russia, reported that the last book of King in this country will be “Billy Summers”, which will appear in bookstores on April 6.
“The rights to all previously purchased works remain with “AST” for the entire duration of the contracts (the next three to four years), but there will actually be no new novels and continuation of past rights,” said “AST”.
Currently, Stephen King is the most popular writer in Russia, where he has sold over 6.7 million copies of his books since 2016.
