Ukrainian Armed Forces Strategy: Expert Explains the Significance of Attacks on the Fuel Depot Near 'Engels' Airfield.
The Ukrainian forces carried out two attacks on the fuel depot 'Crystal' near the 'Engels' Airfield on January 8 and 14. This fuel depot is part of the state reserve of the Russian Federation and stores important fuel supplies. According to Konstantin Kryvolap, an aviation analyst, the strikes resulted in the destruction of several tanks, reducing their number from 60 to 39. The 'Crystal' fuel depot has strategic importance as it supplies fuel for Russia's supersonic aviation and other military forces. The Ukrainian forces are attempting to deprive the Russian army of access to fuel by destroying logistical infrastructure. As aviation is the strongest weapon, the severity of the destruction is primarily aimed at eliminating fuel for it.
