Court seizes gadgets and cryptocurrency wallet of former State Special Communications Service head Shchigol.

The High Anti-Corruption Court decided to seize two iPhones, an iPad, and a cold cryptocurrency wallet belonging to the former head of the State Special Communications Service, Yuriy Shchigol. This information is contained in the court documents.

During a search of Shchigol's apartment, his equipment and cryptocurrency wallet were seized.

Following this, the prosecutor filed a motion, resulting in the seizure of Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max smartphones, an iPad Pro 12.9 tablet, and a Ledger cold cryptocurrency wallet.

Shchigol attempted to appeal the court's decision and filed an appeal, but his request was rejected by the High Anti-Corruption Court.

According to the report, law enforcement officers found a cryptocurrency wallet with cryptocurrency equivalent to $1.5 million in the mobile phone of the former head of the State Special Communications Service, Yuriy Shchigol.

In addition, during the searches, €82,000 and $72,000 in cash were found.

Recall, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Prosecutor's Office uncovered an organized group linked to the leadership of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (State Special Communications Service) that embezzled over UAH 62 million in state funds.

On November 22, the High Anti-Corruption Court decided to keep the former head of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection, Yuriy Shchigol, in custody.
