According to The Sun: Swansea City has announced the appointment of Vitor Matos, former coach of Jurgen Klopp, as the new head coach. He replaces Alan Sheehan amid a difficult situation, as the team is sitting in 20th place in the Championship. This is only Matos's second job in a coaching role, having previously managed the Portuguese club Marítimo in the summer.
At 37 years old, Matos has experience working under Klopp at Liverpool as an elite development coach.
“I am happy to join Swansea City. It is a great club with a history, and I hope to contribute to its development,” said Matos.
