Research: non-monogamous couples are just as happy as monogamous ones.
According to The Sun: More and more people in the world are rejecting monogamy in favor of threesomes and faux relationships. Traditional notions that happiness and a sense of obligation can only be found in relationships with two partners seem to be becoming outdated. A recent study published in the Journal of Sex Research showed that both monogamous and non-monogamous unions can bring equal levels of satisfaction in relationships and sexual life.
At the same time, about one in 25 people has experience with polyamory, that is, maintaining multiple relationships simultaneously, while one out of 25 couples has decided to try swinging. The diversity of relationship forms and attitudes towards them is beginning to gain popularity among modern youth.
Among the highlighted couples who shared their experiences, a common thread was that despite the experiments and new sensations, deep love and trust in their primary partner always remain the most important element of their relationships.
