Biography of Aleksiej Wasiliewicz Baburin

Aleksiej Wasiliewicz Baburin - people's deputy of Ukraine of the III-VI convocation. Member of the CPSU since 1974, first secretary of the Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine in Zaporizhia since 1994, member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the CPU since July 2003.
Place of birth. Education. He was born in the village of Ivanovka in the Bryansk region of Bryansk Oblast. In 1952, he moved with his family to Makeevka in Donetsk Oblast. In 1971, he graduated from the Dnipro Chemical Technology Institute (specialization: chemical engineer). In 1991, he graduated from the Kyiv Political Institute of Management (specialization: political scientist).
Career. After graduating from the chemical technology institute, he served two years in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the USSR.
From 1973 to 1998, he worked at the Zaporizhia Automobile Plant (AutoZAZ Production Plant): as a foreman, senior foreman, deputy head of the plant, deputy secretary of the party committee, secretary of the party committee, deputy head of the material and technical supply department, deputy commercial director, head of the material and technical supply department.
From 1998 to 2012 - people's deputy of Ukraine of the III, IV, V, VI convocation. Member of the Committee on Transport and Communications.
In the 2012 parliamentary elections, he ran for deputy in single-member district No. 74 (Zaporizhia). He lost to the candidate from the Party of Regions, Jaroslaw Suchoj.
Baburin has been a member of the Communist Party of Ukraine since 1974. First secretary of the Regional Committee of the CPU in Zaporizhia since 1994, member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the CPU.
Awards. Awarded the Order of Friendship of Peoples.
Family. Baburin is married. Father of three children.
