Ivan Baloga

Date of Birth: 10.11.1966
Ivan Ivanovich Baloga - Deputy of the Mukachevo District Council, served two terms and chairman of the Transcarpathian Council (2010-2014).
Place of Birth. Education. Resident of the village of Savidovo in the Mukachevo district of Transcarpathia. In 1985, he graduated from the Mukachevo Cooperative Technical School and in 1991 from the Lviv Trade Economic Institute specializing in commodity science and organization of food trade.
Career. After graduating from the institute, he began working as a goods inspector-broker in the system of Mukachevo Rajpotrebsouz.
After the collapse of the USSR, he held various management positions in commercial structures such as LLC 'Ray-Promin', LLC 'Barvy Zakarpattya', Oktan-M, Trading House Oktan.
He was the deputy chairman and president of the West Oil Group Corporation of the Carpathians, chairman of LLC 'Barva'.
Political Career. In 2006, he was appointed the first deputy head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration by Oleg Gavashi. According to the job description, he led the activities of the regional directorates for capital construction, issues of municipal property, and agrarian policy development. He coordinated the work of the land resources administration and the regional department of the State Property Fund of Ukraine. He was elected a deputy of the Mukachevo City Council and the Transcarpathian Regional Council. Since 2006, he has been a deputy from the Transcarpathian Region of the Our Ukraine Bloc.
Since the summer of 2008, he has been heading the regional unit of the party Unified Center.
Since April 2010 - deputy chairman of the board of LLC 'Barva'.
From November 2010 to 2014 - chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council.
He led the regional organization of the party People's Union Our Ukraine for several years.
In 2014, he was elected a people's deputy of Ukraine for the VIII election district (Transcarpathia) in the early parliamentary elections.
In the early parliamentary elections of 2019, he ran in the 70th majority electoral district (Transcarpathia). According to the election results, he lost in the district.
Family Ties. Married. Has three children - two daughters and one son.
Ivan Baloga's older brother is Viktor Baloga (born 1963), former head of the secretariat of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko, former Minister for Emergencies, people's deputy of Ukraine of the VIII Convocation. The younger brother - Pavel Baloga (born 1977), a lawyer by profession, entrepreneur, headed several Baloga family companies, people's deputy of Ukraine of the VIII Convocation.
