Biography of Wadym Olehowytsch Tschernysch

Wadym Olehowytsch Tschernysch - Head of the Kropyvnytskyi Regional Administration (2006-2007), Minister for the Affairs of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons (2016-2019).

Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Kasanka in Mykolaiv Oblast, he lived from childhood in Oleksandriya in Kropyvnytskyi Oblast. In 1999, he graduated from the National Legal Academy of Yariy Mudryy in Kharkiv, Lawyer.

Career. He began his professional career in 1992, working as an electrician - circuit designer, loader, sales representative, was the head of the department of a trading company at the Avtostamp factory, legal advisor for a private company.

From 1998 to 2001, he was a lecturer in legal disciplines at the Industrial College in Oleksandriya. From 1999 to 2005, he worked as a lawyer. During the presidential elections in Ukraine in 2004, Tschernysch was a representative of the presidential candidate Viktor Yushchenko in electoral district No. 104 (City of Oleksandriya).

From March 2005 to August 2006 - Deputy Head of the Kropyvnytskyi Regional Administration (for humanitarian issues).

From August 2006 to November 2007 - Head of the Kropyvnytskyi Regional Administration.

From May to August 2007, he was a member of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

Since May 2010, a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), USA.

Head of the Non-Governmental Organization Center for the Study of Security Problems and Countering Money Laundering (Kyiv).

On June 26, 2015, the government appointed Tschernysch as the head of the State Agency for the Restoration of the Donbass. His responsibilities included coordinating international humanitarian organizations, coordinating the activities of self-governing bodies and executive authorities in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as solving problems related to projects for the restoration of the Donbass.

From April 14, 2016, to August 29, 2019, he served as Minister for the Affairs of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine.

Family. Married, has one son.
