Stepan Tschernowezki

Stepan Leonidovich Tschernowezki - Ukrainian businessman, investor, founder of the Chernovetskyi Investment Group (CIG), son of the former mayor of Kyiv, Leonid Chernovetskyi.

Place of Birth. Education. Born in the capital of Georgia - Tbilisi. In 2003, he graduated from the distance learning program at the Faculty of Law of the National Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv (qualification - law specialist).
Career. He began his professional career in 1996 as a manager in the customer service department of Pravex-Bank. He headed several banking departments (including being the head of the main department of the branch network, responsible for management, staff training, economic results analysis, and personnel issues), and was Senior Vice President.
In May 2006, he took over as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Pravex-Bank.
In July 2008, the Italian Intesa Sanpaolo Group completed the transaction for the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of PrivatBank Pravex-Bank.
On September 5, 2008, the shareholders' meeting of Pravex-Bank decided to transfer full powers of the chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Bank to Stepan Chernovetskyi. For this position, Italian citizen Silvio Pedratzzi was elected, who had previously been the first deputy chairman of the executive board, general director of Intesa Sanpaolo S.P.A (Belgrade).
In 2008-2009, he was a member of the Kyiv City Council, a member of the faction of Leonid Chernovetskyi. He was a member of the budget and socio-economic development committee. He voluntarily resigned from his mandate as a city councilor. He himself did not comment on his decision, but close associates mentioned among the reasons for this step his fatigue from constant accusations, the desire to leave politics and devote himself to business.
After leaving the Kyiv City Council, he dedicated himself to organizing boxing tournaments. Chernovetskyi's promotional company Elite-Boxing planned a collaboration with K2 East Promotions, which was left by the politician and famous boxer Wladimir Klitschko.
In December 2015, the former mayor of Kyiv, Leonid Chernovetskyi, announced his intention to hand over the management of the business to his son Stepan Chernovetskyi, to fully engage in politics and participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Georgia. Chernovetskyi Junior took over the investment firm Chernovetskyi Investment Group (CIG) - the company focuses on investments in IT projects in e-commerce, infrastructure, healthcare, and the agricultural sector.
Family. Stepan Chernovetskyi is married and has five children. His father is Leonid Chernovetskyi, the former mayor of Kyiv, the former main shareholder of Pravex-Bank. His mother is Alina Aivazova, a businesswoman. He has a sister, Kristina (1979).
Hobbies. He is interested in sports (football, running, boxing), gaming, sports cars.
