Valentina Danyshevska - former Chairwoman of the Supreme Court.
Place of Birth. Education. Valentina Danyshevska was born on March 23, 1957, in Zaporozhye. In 1983, she graduated from the Odessa State University named after I. Mechnikov, majoring in 'Law'.
In October 1998, she completed a refresher course at the Judges Academy in Wustrau (Germany).

In April-May 2002, she completed a refresher course at the International Institute of Law in Washington (USA).
Career. She began her professional career in 1975 at the post of lead inspector in the Social Insurance Bureau of the Oktjabrskiy district in Zaporozhye.
From 1976 to 1987, she initially worked as a legal advisor at the Zaporozhye Tar Base of the Trade Management and then as a senior legal advisor at the Zaporozhye Base 'Ukroptkogalanterei'.
From 1991 to 2001, she worked at the Arbitration Court of the Zaporozhye region, where she started as a leading specialist and eventually became a judge and head of the department.
Since 2001, Valentina Danyshevska has been the founder and director of the charitable organization 'Center for Commercial Law'.
Since 2003, she has been authorized to work as a lawyer.
Since 2009, she has been a judge at the permanent Arbitration Court of the Ukrainian Banks Association.
In 2015, she was elected to the public council at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
Since November 10, 2017, she has been a judge at the High Economic Court as part of the Supreme Court of Ukraine.
On November 30, 2017, the Plenary of the new Supreme Court elected Valentina Danyshevska as the Chairwoman of the Supreme Court. 67 participants of the Plenary voted for this decision out of a total of 111 active judges.
On October 8, 2021, Valentina Danyshevska resigned from her position as Chairwoman of the Supreme Court. At the end of November 2021, her term as Chairwoman of the Supreme Court expired, and she is not planning to run again as a candidate. Danyshevska also stated that she has ended her judicial career.

According to the electronic declaration for the year 2016, Valentina Danyshevska received a salary of 1,342,072 UAH, a pension of 90,103 UAH, she had 334,102 UAH in bank accounts, as well as cash in the amount of 5,000 euros, 50,000 dollars, and 50,000 UAH. As real estate, Danyshevska indicated three apartments in Kyiv, which she owns jointly with her husband: one with an area of 74.70 m², one with 34.30 m², and one with 45.7 m². Danyshevska also owns a 2003 Opel Omega.
Danyshevska's husband owns two plots of land in the village of Lyubimovka in the Vyshgorod district of Kyiv region: 2,500 m² and 3,134 m², as well as an unfinished house with 159.7 m². The family also owns a plot of land in Zaporozhye - 403 m² and shares in PJSC 'Zaporizhzhia Metallurgical Plant 'Zaporizhstal'.
