Birthplace. Education. John Christopher Depp II was born on June 9, 1963, in Owensboro (USA, Kentucky). His father was a civil engineer and his mother, Betty Sue Palmer, was a waitress. He has two sisters - Debbie and Christie, and a brother, Daniel. When Johnny was 7 years old, the family moved to Florida, where his father got a better job on the coast. He spent his childhood with his grandfather and was deeply affected by his death. Constant moves negatively impacted his childhood. Johnny was not fond of school.
