Dmitri Ekimov - founder of the Sport Life corporate group. Born in St. Petersburg (Russia). From 1992 to 1997, he studied computer science and computer systems engineering at the University of Maryland. At the same time, from 1993 to 1998, he pursued a degree in international business at College Park (Georgetown).
From 1991 to 1993, he was the Deputy General Director of XXI Century Real Estate (St. Petersburg). From 1994 to 1997, he served as the Regional Director for Eastern Europe at ITT Development Corporation, Real Estate Development (Florida, USA). He was also Vice President of Teko Credit Corporation (Teko Bank, 1994-1997).
In 1997, he founded INFOTECK Consulting. Launched two projects - Global Fax and Global Voice - IP telecommunications systems for fax and call transmission over the Internet.
In 1999, the company ATELO was founded to attract capital from leading IT and venture capital firms for developing IP messaging systems (voicemail, unified messaging) for major telecommunications companies. At that time, ATELO also acquired INFOTECK Consulting. In 2003, the company was sold to a Japanese telecommunications operator.
In 2001, the company High Tech was founded, focusing on acquiring assets in bankrupt and restructuring companies (Boeing, Toyota, Enron).
In 2005, after moving from the USA to Ukraine, he founded the companies Sport Life, Eurasia, Ukraine Capital (investment activity), and VEK Capital Partners.
