Andrij Fiedoruk

Place of birth. Education. Born in Kovel in Volhynia. In 1989, he graduated from the Sumy Higher Command School of Artillery (tactical artillery). In 1999, he graduated from the National Academy of Law named after Yaroslav the Wise (law).
Career. Since November 2010, he has been a deputy of the Donetsk Regional Council, deputy chairman of the council (Andriy Shyshatsky).
On August 4, 2011, he was elected chairman of the Donetsk Regional Council (shortly after Shyshatsky was appointed chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration). Shyshatsky presented Fiedoruk's candidacy for the position. No other candidates were nominated. Fiedoruk was supported by 124 deputies out of 132 after the secret voting.
Previously, Fiedoruk worked as the general director of LLC Management Assets Corporation (MAKO), founded by Oleksandr Yanukovych.
During a press conference after his appointment as the new chairman of the regional council, he stated that he supports 'purely human relations' with the elder son of President Viktor Yanukovych - Oleksandr Yanukovych, mentioning that they sometimes meet. 'I have no business interests with him,' he said. At the same time, Fiedoruk assured that relations with the president's family would not influence political decisions in the regional council.

On March 3, 2014, Andrij Fiedoruk submitted his resignation as chairman of the Donetsk Regional Council.
