Michail Gavriliuk - former Deputy Attorney General of Ukraine
Date of Birth: 21.09.1958
Michail Ivanovich Gavriliuk was born in Zinkov in the Vinnytsia district of the Chmelnytskyi region. In 1983, he graduated from the Kharkiv Law Faculty.
After school, he worked as a locksmith in the Gorki collective farm in his native village. Between 1977 and 1979, he served in the military. From 1983 to 1985, he worked as an investigator, prosecutor in the Chust district, and prosecutor of the investigative department of the Prosecutor's Office of the Transcarpathian region. From 1985 to 1997, he served as a prosecutor in the Meschgorie and Tyachiv districts of the Transcarpathian region.
From June 1997 to February 1999, he was the Deputy Prosecutor of the Transcarpathian region. From February to December 1999, he headed the department supporting the prosecutor's office in the courts of the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine. From December 1999 to February 2005, he was the prosecutor of the Ternopil, Poltava, and Odesa regions.
From July 2009 to November 2010, he led the main department for defense policy and the activities of law enforcement agencies of the Presidential Office of Ukraine under Viktor Yushchenko and the Presidential Administration of Ukraine under Viktor Yanukovych.
From November 5, 2010, until 2014, he was Deputy Attorney General of Ukraine under Viktor Pshonky, a member of the board of the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine. He led the main department to support the prosecution in courts at the direction of Attorney General Pshonky.
In August 2014, he was appointed Prosecutor of the Kirovohrad region. In October 2014, Attorney General Vitali Yarema relieved Michail Gavriliuk of his duties as Prosecutor of Kirovohrad region.
Awards: Honored Lawyer of Ukraine. Justice Council of the 2nd class.
Family: He is married and has two daughters.
