Anna Stanislavovna Homonai - Ukrainian journalist and presenter.

Place of Birth. Education. Born on May 29, 1979, in Kyiv. Graduated from Secondary School No. 251 in Kyiv, Augustin Kurth Lyceum (Gray City, France), and the Institute of Journalism at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Career. Previously a writer for 'Spezreporter' on the New Channel, presenter on the 5th Channel, presenter of the news program 'One Day' on K1 channel.

Since May 2007, she has been the presenter of the evening show 'Details' on Inter. Partner - Ruslan Senichkin, with whom she has previously collaborated at K1.

Co-hosted with Savik Shuster the 'Inter' project 'Great Ukrainians'.

In August 2014, she resigned from the channel, after the management of Inter reinstated moderators into the program who had been discredited due to their biased stance on the Euromaidan.

Participant in the TOP-30 most successful TV presenters in Ukraine according to the magazine Focus.

At the end of December 2015, she moved to Ottawa due to her husband Andrei Shevchenko's appointment as the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Ukraine to Canada.

In December 2021, she returned to Ukraine after her husband completed his diplomatic mission. She started working as a presenter for the parliamentary channel 'Rada'.

After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, she hosted the information telethon 'Current News'.

Views and Evaluations. According to Fakty, Anna Homonai owes her television work to the well-known producer Alexander Tkachenko. He invited her to the New Channel. Later, Anna moved to the 5th Channel, where she worked under the leadership of her future husband Andrei Shevchenko. They had already met at the New Channel, where she produced her first piece under his guidance. Anna jokes that she had a real office affair with the current politician Shevchenko. She appreciates her husband's views on the transition to politics. She considers his views on Ukraine and the world to be modern and progressive.

The main passion in her life is work, and her greatest love is family. She believes that television is the art of feelings.

The television presenter confessed in an interview that she misses the reporting work. There was a special excitement: sleepless nights, searching for new heroes and themes. At the same time, she emphasizes that there are also many exciting moments in presenting. In the foreseeable future, she does not want to make talk shows (except for 'Great Ukrainians') or other television projects - only news. She currently considers the question of politics to be irrelevant.

The Ukrainian-speaking journalist confesses that she panicked when she learned she had to present the news on Inter in Russian. She had to start her language preparation practically from scratch and also work on her voice training. The Ukrainian presenter was supported by Russian speech specialist Anna Petrova, who had previously worked with television personalities such as Savik Shuster and Leonid Parfenov.

In 'Great Ukrainians', Anna Homonai chose Taras Shevchenko, Lesya Ukrainka, Ivan Franko, Lina Kostenko, Vladimir the Great, and Bohdan Khmelnytsky. She did not vote for contemporaries.

She took a principled position after the scandal regarding the possible falsification of the project's results: contrary to the official position of the channel, she advocated for a recount of the votes.

Family. Married. Husband - Andrei Shevchenko, television journalist, former ambassador of Ukraine to Canada, former deputy of the Yulia Tymoshenko Party. The couple has two daughters: Maria (born 2004) and Sofia (born 2018).

The presenter’s father-in-law is Vitali Shevchenko, former chairman of the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting.

Hobbies, Passions. Collects Winnie-the-Poohs. Adores France, where she spent a year during high school.
