Date of Birth: 10.04.1958

Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Glushkiv in the Gorodenkivsky district of the Iwano-Frankiwsk region. In 1976, he graduated from the medical school in Kolomyja named after I. Franko. In 1985, he graduated with honors from the law school in Kharkiv named after Dzerzhinsky. Candidate of legal sciences.

Career. After graduating from medical school, he worked as a disinfectant at the outpatient health center in Lugiv, as a field medic of the special health service of motor vehicle company No. 08031. He served in the army.

1984-1987 - Intern, senior investigator of the Kharkiv Prosecutor's Office.

1987-1990 - Prosecutor of the investigative department of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

1990-1992 - Deputy Prosecutor of the Frunzensky district in Kharkiv.

1992-2010 - Judge of the Kharkiv Regional Court.

Since 2001 - Judge of the Appeals Court of the Kharkiv Region.

In September 2010, he was appointed as a judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine by the X Congress of Judges of Ukraine. He took the oath of office on September 21, 2010.

On September 18, 2019, Mikhail Gultai was dismissed from the position of judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine upon his request for resignation.

Author of numerous scientific works on issues of detection and correction of investigative and judicial errors, establishment of juvenile justice in Ukraine, issues of combating corruption, and judicial treatment of crimes committed by organized criminal groups.
