Biography

Date of birth: 18.03.1951

Place of birth, education. Born in the village of Volozhki in the Kowel region of the Volyn region. In 1974, he graduated from M. Gorky Kharkiv State Pedagogical University (Teacher of Geography) and in 1998 from the J. Mudryj National Law University of Ukraine (Lawyer).

Career. 1974 - Teacher in the boarding school in Ostrog (Rivne region).

1975-1990 - Geography teacher in schools in Kowel. From January to June 1982 - engineer at the Kowelmasch plant.

1990-1992 - Deputy Mayor of the Kowel City Council.

1992-1995 - Chairman of the Volyn Regional Council.

1995-2002 - Head of the Volyn Regional State Administration.

2002-2004 - Advisor to Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma.

2004-2008 - Special Representative Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania.

2008-2010 - Special Representative Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

On March 26, 2010, he was appointed head of the Volyn Regional State Administration by the decree of President Viktor Yanukovych.

Deputy of the Volyn Regional Council, head of the electoral bloc of Boris Klimchuk.

On February 5, 2014, he was relieved of his duties by the decree of the President of Ukraine No. 56/2014.

Awards. Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, 5th class. Full holder of the Order of Merit.

Family relations. Married, has two daughters.

Death. Died on September 2, 2014, in Berlin after a serious illness, where he was undergoing treatment. Buried in the village of Volya-Lyubotynska.
