Place of Birth. Education.

Born in the settlement of Botschatsch in the Ternopil region. In 1994, he graduated from the Lviv Polytechnic Institute with a major in 'Precision Mechanics' (Qualification - Mechanical Engineer).

Career.

1990-1992, after his military service and graduation from the institute - design engineer of the special design and technology department of the 'Spectehnomash' plant of the scientific-production association 'Vatra' (Ternopil).

1992-1995 - President of the Joint Stock Company 'Invest-Center' in Ternopil.

1995-1996 - Consultant of the LLC 'Oskar' (Ternopil).

1996-2003 - Director, General Director of the joint Ukrainian-German enterprise 'Nova' in Morshyn (Lviv region).

2003-2004 - Chairman of the Board of PJSC 'Nova'.

2004-2005 - Chairman of the construction and housing cooperative 'Oscar-Bud' in Morshyn.

2005-2008 - Strategic advisor of the management department of the headquarters of LLC 'Industrial and Distribution Systems' (Kyiv). In recent years, Mykola Kmit held the position of President of the IDS Group, which produces mineral water under the brands 'Myrgorodska', 'Morshynska', 'Stary Myrgorod', 'Aljaska', 'Sorochynska' and is the official importer of 'Borzhomi' in Ukraine.

In February 2008, Mykola Kmit was appointed Acting Chairman of the Lviv Regional State Administration (following the resignation of Governor Petro Oliynyk and his transition to an advisory position to the President of Ukraine).

On September 1, 2008, he was appointed Chairman of the Lviv Regional State Administration by decree of President Viktor Yushchenko.

In April 2010, he was dismissed by President Viktor Yanukovych.

In 2014, Mykola Kmit ceased to be a shareholder of the IDS Group.

Family. Married (Wife Svitlana), raising a son (Nazar) and a daughter (Dana).

Hobbies. Sports hobbies - football and Formula 1. Mykola Kmit is a co-founder and president of the football club 'Skala' (Stryi). Painting and traveling, collects paintings.
