Knyazev Sergey Nikolaevich - Former Head of the Criminal Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine, Police General of the 1st Rank, former Head of the National Police.

Place of Birth. Education. Born on October 18, 1971, in Bila Tserkva, Kyiv Region. He has a legal education. He defended his dissertation in law.

Career. He started his service in law enforcement in 1992 as a policeman in the patrol service of the city of Bila Tserkva.

In 1995, he transferred to the criminal service.

Between 1995 and 2008, he rose from an operative detective in the investigative service to the Deputy Head - Head of the Criminal Police of the Bila Tserkva City Police Department.

From 2008, he led the law enforcement department of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Kyiv region.

Since November 2014 - acting Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Donetsk Region, Head of the Criminal Police.

From July 15, 2015 - Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian Region.

From April 4, 2016 - Head of the Main Department of the National Police in Rivne Region.

From November 10, 2016 - Head of the Criminal Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine.

In February 2017, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, nominated Sergey Knyazev, Head of the Criminal Police Department of the National Police, for the position of Head of the National Police. On February 8, the government of Ukraine supported Sergey Knyazev's candidacy for Head of the National Police.
