Igor Olegovich Kohut - Program Director at USAID Rada, former Chairman of the Council of the Laboratory for Legislative Initiatives.

Place of Birth. Education. Born in Truskavets. Graduated in 1996 from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy with a degree in 'Political Science'.

Career. Since 2000, Chairman of the Council of the public organization 'Laboratory for Legislative Initiatives' (Kyiv).

Head of several projects of the Laboratory: Editor-in-Chief of the magazine 'Parliament Magazine' (since 2001), Director of the Ukrainian School of Political Studies (since 2005), Director of the School of Professional Journalism 'New Ukraine' (since 2009).

Led coalition-wide public campaigns in different years: Secretariat of the All-Ukrainian Observation Committee (during the 2002 parliamentary elections), Coalition 'New Vote' (during the 2004 presidential election campaign), 'Conscious Vote' campaign (2006 parliamentary elections), joint project of the 1+1 channel and the IF 'Renaissance' - TV show 'Essentially' (August-October 2007 during the extraordinary parliamentary elections), 'Strategies for Modernizing Ukraine' project (2009).

Expert in political processes and state reforms, democratization and civil society building, parliamentarism and legislation.

The Laboratory for Legislative Initiatives is one of the leading analytical centers in Ukraine, founded at the initiative of NaUKMA graduates.

The organization aims to promote democratic values in Ukrainian society, develop effective and balanced policies in Ukraine, and strengthen the political and legal culture of citizens and politicians.
