Queen Natalia

Place of Birth. Education. Born in the city of Krasny Luch, Lugansk region. She graduated from the Eastern Ukrainian State University.
Career. Since 1993, she worked at META as a manager, later becoming the financial director of the company. In 2004, Queen Natalia took over the family business and became the chairwoman of the supervisory board of JSC Luhanskholod. Her 'familial' trade name - 'Royal Ice' - has been one of the national leaders among ice cream and frozen food manufacturers since 2001. Currently, according to Queen Natalia, the management handles all business affairs, but she is still considered one of the most influential figures in the region by local media in Lugansk.
Queen Natalia's political career began in 2002. She was elected as a deputy of the Lugansk Regional Council from Krasny Luch. She developed regional programs for the economic development of the region and was the chair of the committee for analyzing activities and finding ways to restore the Donbassanthracite coal mining company.
From 2003 to 2005, she was a member of the Business Council under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
In 2005, Queen Natalia joined the Fatherland Party after the resignation of Yulia Tymoshenko as Prime Minister. In 2006, she was elected to the parliament of the V convocation as a list candidate from the Fatherland Party. She was the secretary of the Committee on Economic Policy.
Queen Natalia was a member of the Political Council of the Fatherland Party and coordinated the 'Eastern Course' of the Fatherland Party. During the early parliamentary elections in 2007, she was responsible for conducting the election campaign in the two largest districts of Lugansk. She was elected to parliament as number 66 of the alliance. She chaired the Committee of Parliament on Industrial and Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship.
In 2011, she was the initiator of the founding of the public movement Vpered and became the head of the party Ukraine - Vpered! in December of the same year. In the 2012 parliamentary elections, the political force she led failed to achieve election results.
On December 24, 2012, she was appointed Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine by decree of President Viktor Yanukovych.
On February 27, 2014, the parliament dismissed Queen Natalia from her ministerial position and appointed Ludmila Denisova as her successor (in the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk).
In the fall of 2014, she was elected to parliament in early elections from the list of the Opposition Bloc (No. 8). At the time of her election, she was the chairwoman of the committee for developing strategies for the social development of Ukraine of the public organization Institute for Social Protection of Citizens.
In the 2019 parliamentary elections, she was elected as a deputy of the Ukrainian parliament of the IX convocation from the party Opposition Platform - For Life No. 4 on the list.
Wealth. In February 2008, she ranked 93rd in the list of the richest Ukrainians. Experts from Focus magazine estimated Queen Natalia's fortune at 243 million dollars. It was noted that the deputy controls more than a dozen enterprises in the food industry.
Family, Hobbies. Queen Natalia is married. Her husband Yuriy Solod is a businessman. The couple has three sons and a daughter: Rostislav (born 2001), Yaroslav (born 2008), and adopted daughter Maria. In April 2019, their third son was born.
