On December 1, 2006, Korzh was appointed Minister for Family by Parliament (he replaced the Ukrainian Yuri Pavlenko in this position). After the early parliamentary elections of 2007, which led to a government reshuffle, he lost his ministerial position.

Non-partisan.

In the 2012 parliamentary elections, he ran in electoral district No. 197 in Chernihiv Oblast. The leader in the race for this district was the independent candidate Bohdan Hubsky; however, the Central Election Commission decided that the results of the elections could not be determined, and the Verkhovna Rada scheduled re-elections in districts 197 and four other problematic districts.

Vice-President of the NOC of Ukraine, first vice-president of the Ukrainian Biathlon Federation.

Views. In various interviews, Korzh expressed his deep sadness that Ukrainian athletes participate in advertising campaigns of alcohol and tobacco manufacturers. He sees this as a bad example for the youth and believes that special attention should be paid to this problem. In his opinion, the health of the nation is in an extremely alarming state. He also sees various problems in Olympic sports. He announced his intention to return lottery revenues to sports and involve alcohol and tobacco manufacturers to solve sports and physical education issues as compensation for the harm caused to society by their products. He also advocated for the popularization of the adoption of orphans by Ukrainian families. He expresses his sympathy for 'normal and balanced deputies belonging to BJuT'. He considers it abnormal that the president and the parliamentary-governmental coalition are representatives of different political forces. After Ukraine's victory in the struggle for the right to host Euro 2012, the minister described this event as significant and clearly raised the euro-integration prospects of the country.

In 2006, Korzh told the newspaper Fakty in an interview how he was gifted a brand new professional super bike worth nothing more and nothing less than $10,000 by world champion in cycling Andrei Chmyria. This gift was clearly not chosen by chance: the regional champion in cycling was the international champion in cycling. Moreover, he is a honored worker in the field of physical education and sports, president of the Gymnastics Federation of Ukraine, vice-president of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine. He has been awarded the orders 'For Merits' (III class) and Daniel Galitsky and, as mentioned in his autobiography, 'with distinctions from all law enforcement agencies.'
