The Biography of Yuri Kosyuk

Date of Birth: 27.05.1968

Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Krasnoye in the Haivoron District of the Kirovohrad Region. In 1992, he graduated from the Kyiv Institute of Food Technology (Engineer in Meat and Dairy Processing).

Career. Since 1991, he has been a broker at the Kyiv Commodity Exchange.

Since 1992, he has been the founder and director of LLC LKB (later - Trading House Roda).

In 1995, he established the Business Center for the Food Industry (BCPP), where he served as president until 1999. BCPP engaged in activities in the domestic and export markets for grain and other agricultural products.

In 1998, Yuri Kosyuk founded JSC Myronivskyi Hliboproduct (since 2006 - PJSC).

In 2001, the Nasha Ryaba brand was launched.

Myronivskyi Hliboproduct (MHP) is one of the leading agricultural and industrial companies in Ukraine. The main activities of the group include poultry farming, production, and sales of chicken meat products. Additionally, the group produces sunflower oil, premium beef, foie gras, sausages, and smoked products, as well as growing corn, sunflowers, wheat, rapeseed, and fruits. Key brands include Nasha Ryaba, Legko!, Angus-certified, Foie Gras.

In 2008, MHP was listed on the London Stock Exchange.

In 2010, the construction of the Vinnytsya Turkey Complex began with an estimated investment of $1.5 billion.

On July 3, 2014, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko appointed Yuri Kosyuk as the first Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine by decree No. 559/2014. In this position, Kosyuk was responsible for the material and technical support and logistics of the security agencies.

On December 8, 2014, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko dismissed him from office by decree No. 924/2014. On the same day, the President appointed Kosyuk as his extraordinary advisor by decree No. 925/2014.

On May 18, 2019, Petro Poroshenko dismissed Yuri Kosyuk from his position as extraordinary advisor by his decree.

It should be noted that Igor Tarasyuk - a two-time deputy of the Our Ukraine party and head of the presidential administration of Yushchenko - traded Turkmen gas for Yuri Kosyuk's company. Tarasyuk was mistakenly identified as a co-owner of MHP, which Kosyuk categorically denies.

Wealth. In 2011: According to calculations by Focus magazine - $2.07 billion (11th place in the ranking of '200 richest people in Ukraine'), according to calculations by Correspondent magazine - $1.3 billion (11th place in the ranking of 'Top-100 richest Ukrainians').

Awards. Hero of Ukraine (awarded the Order of the State, 2008).
