Biography of Vladislav Krikliy

Vladislav Arturovich Krikly - former Minister of Transportation of Ukraine, former head of the Main Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Place of Birth. Education. He was born on November 23, 1986, in Kyiv. In 2009, Vladislav Krikliy received a Master's degree in Finance from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

In 2015, he defended his dissertation on 'Non-state Pension Funds in the Pension System of Ukraine' and received the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences.

Career. From 2002 to 2008, he was the head of the securities trading department at the stock exchange at Interbank.

From 2008 to 2010, he worked in the corporate finance department of the investment company Astrum Investment Management.

From 2011 to 2013, he was the director of LLC 'Kinoteatr'.

From 2014 to 2015, he was an advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov.

From March to November 2015, he was the deputy head of the Traffic Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (dealing with liquidation).

From March 2015 to August 2019, he was the head of the Main Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

He was the chairman of the working group for the introduction of automatic photo and video monitoring of road traffic in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Political Activity. Participant of the project 'Important People'.

In the parliamentary elections of 2019, he was elected as a deputy of the Servant of the People party, No. 12 on the list.

On August 29, 2019, the Verkhovna Rada approved the new composition of the government, and Vladislav Krikliy was appointed Minister of Transportation of Ukraine.

On March 4, 2020, the Verkhovna Rada voted for the resignation of Alexey Goncharuk as Prime Minister, leading to the resignation of the entire government. On the same day, the Verkhovna Rada approved the new government composition, and Vladislav Krikliy was again appointed Minister of Transportation of Ukraine.

On May 18, 2021, the Verkhovna Rada voted for Vladislav Krikliy's resignation as Minister of Transportation.

Views. Vladislav Krikliy declares liberal views and advocates for a market economy based on competition. He states that liberalization of markets in the transportation sector is his top priority.

Among the declared priorities of Krikliy in the field of infrastructure are: allowing private freight trains on railroads, developing multimodal transport, inland navigation, concessions for highways, involving independent engineering consultants in road construction, introducing automatic measuring and weight control systems, and vehicle inspections.
