Andrey Yevgenyevich Krivchenko is the deputy mayor of the Kyiv city administration, an officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, former deputy head of the National Police of Ukraine - former head of the Main Department of the National Police in Kyiv.
Place of Birth. Education. Born on November 5, 1972, in the village of Domanivka, Mykolaiv Oblast, Ukrainian SSR.
In 2003, he graduated from the Institute of Internal Affairs in Donetsk at the National University of Donetsk.
Professional Career. He began his career in 1992 at law enforcement agencies in Horlivka as a police officer in the patrol and guard services of the Kalininsky district militia.
From 1994 to 2007, he worked at the militia in Horlivka in various positions fighting organized crime and in the regional administration.
In 2007, he was appointed head of the Artemivsk District Police Department against organized crime.
In 2011, he was appointed head of the Znamensk City Police Department of the Main Police Department of Ukraine in the Kirovohrad region.
In 2013, he became the head of the department for combating organized crime (UBOP) in the Kirovohrad region.
Since May 2014, he has been the head of the city police department in Horlivka.
On July 10, 2014, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko appointed Andrey Krivchenko as acting head of the Slavyansk District Administration in Donetsk Oblast.
In December 2014, he was appointed head of the UBOP of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast.
On April 6, 2015, he took over the leadership of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Kharkiv.
On December 15, 2015, Krivchenko was appointed deputy head of the National Police of Ukraine and head of the Main Department of the National Police in Kyiv.
In January 2017, Andrey Krivchenko decided to participate in the competition for the vacant position of head of the National Police of Ukraine. However, he later chose not to participate in the competition.
On August 10, 2021 , Andrey Krivchenko submitted his resignation.
On September 23, 2021, Andrey Krivchenko was appointed deputy mayor of the city of Kyiv for the exercise of self-government powers.
Awards. On June 20, 2014, he was awarded the Order of 'For Bravery' III class.
On April 14, 2014, during the Russian intervention in Ukraine, he was one of those who defended the building of the Horlivka Police Department when pro-Russian separatists attempted to take it over. While defending the Ukrainian flag, he sustained serious injuries.
