Career.He began his professional career in 1980 at the Darnytsia Car Repair Plant (Kyiv). From 1985, he worked as a mechanic at the Oknitsky plant for technological equipment in Moldova.
From 1991, he was the deputy head of the economic and commercial department of the research and production association 'Energiya' (Chernivtsi).
From 1993 to 1996, he was the master of the production department of the state-owned enterprise 'Chernivtsivodokanal'.
From 1993 to 2001, he was involved in private business.
Since 1999, he has been the president of the football club 'Bukovina' (Chernivtsi), which played in the second league of the Ukrainian championship. During his tenure, he oversaw the reconstruction and rebuilding of the training center and rehabilitation complex of the FC.
From late 2001, he held the position of First Deputy General Director of the state-owned enterprise of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine 'Ukroboronpostachalnyk'.
From July 2005 to July 2006, he was the General Director of the state enterprise 'Ukrhimtransammiak'.
From July 2006 to November 2007, he was the Deputy Minister for Industrial Policy of Ukraine.
On March 17, 2010, he was appointed by the Cabinet of Nikolai Azarov as the Deputy Minister for Industrial Policy of Ukraine (Dmytro Kolesnikov) - head of the Agency for Military-Industrial Complex Affairs.
In November 2011, the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych dismissed Konstantin Kucher from his position as Deputy Minister for Industrial Policy of Ukraine - head of the Agency for Military-Industrial Complex Affairs.
Criminal Proceedings.On April 18, 2012, a criminal case was opened against Kucher and his sons Roman and Anton for embezzlement of state enterprise funds 'Kharkiv Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering named after Morozov' in the amount of 1.5 million US dollars.
In this regard, on April 19, 2012, a decision was made to bring charges against Kucher, who was placed on the wanted list.
According to information from the Ukrainian border service, Kucher left Ukraine in 2011.
Konstantin Kucher and his sons Roman and Anton were placed on the wanted list in 2013 as their whereabouts could not be determined. One of the sons was on Interpol's wanted list.
In July 2017, it became known that France granted Kucher refugee status.
