Andriy Viktorovych Kulykov - Ukrainian journalist, editor, radio host, TV presenter, actor, media expert, and media trainer.

Place of Birth. Education. Native of Kyiv. Graduated from the Faculty of International Relations and International Law of Kyiv State University named after T. Shevchenko with a specialty in "Specialist in International Relations, English Translator-Referent".

Career. 1979-1992 - Correspondent, head of the department, deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper "News from Ukraine" (Kyiv).

1992-1995 - Producer, senior producer of the Ukrainian Service of BBC (London).

In 1996 - Acting editor-in-chief, deputy editor-in-chief of the International Media Center "Internews".

1996-1998 - Release editor, deputy director of the Television News Service of the 1+1 Studio TV channel.

In 2013, he co-founded the online project Hromadske Radio, and since 2015 he has headed its management.

Andriy Kulykov worked on "Freedom of Speech" until May 2016. After that, he concentrated on leading Hromadske Radio as editor-in-chief and collaborating with Hromadske TV.

On December 2, 2016, at a meeting of the General Assembly of the All-Ukrainian Public Organization "Commission on Journalistic Ethics", Andriy Kulykov was elected chairman.

He professionally engages in translation activities - simultaneous, consecutive, written, and literary translations (Ukrainian-Russian-English). He also speaks Polish, Belarusian, and French (with dictionaries).

On April 19, 2019, he moderated the debate between the candidates for President of Ukraine - Petro Poroshenko and Volodymyr Zelensky.

Family. The journalist is married, has two daughters and three grandchildren.

Hobbies. Literary activities. For fun, he translates English rock songs into Ukrainian. Loves to walk in Kyiv, travel the world, and collect mushrooms. A strict vegetarian, he likes to cook dishes himself.
